Chateau Morrisette Creates Two NEW Wines for DOGS 4 A CAUSE

There are two new "dogs" at Chateau Morrisette, and both are "dogs for a cause." In partnership with Saint Francis Service Dogs, Chateau Morrisette has created LIBERTY and INDEPENDENCE, two new wines that pay tribute to service dogs and their dedication to enhancing the lives of children and adults with emotional and/or physical disabilities.

Chateau Morrisette will contribute a percentage of gross adjusted sales to Saint Francis. The partnership is a natural fit for a winery known for its dog-themed wines and continues its long-standing commitment to local and regional charities.

LIBERTY: Service Dog Red - $11.95 suggested retail price A dry red wine blended from three of Virginia's finest grape varieties: Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Bursting with deep flavors and aromas, this sumptuous wine is a worthy tribute to Liberty.

INDEPENDENCE: Service Dog White - $11.95 suggested retail price A blend of Traminette and Riesling, this refreshing white wine is packed with lively fruit character. The smooth texture and entrancing floral aromas complete this delicious tribute to Independence.

Chateau Morrisette produced 2000 cases of LIBERTY: Service Dog Red and 1500 cases of INDEPENDENCE: Service Dog White. Both Service Dog wines will be available at retail locations where fine wines are sold. For more information, visit www.dogs4acause.org.

The popular and award-winning oil painting ‘Unconditional Love" by artist Mark Young, the touching portrait of a Saint Francis Service Dogs recipient kissing his partner dog, has been made into a framed limited edition fine art print that is now available for purchase through Saint Francis. About the Artist Mark Young

Mark Young's oil paintings have won awards in numerous juried art shows -- including four People's Choice Best of Show -- and in art-publication competitions. His work is featured in several magazines. Many private and corporate collectors around the U.S. own his paintings, and he has painted numerous commissioned portraits of people, animals and buildings. Six commercial galleries currently do or have represented his work, and he has had several one-person exhibitions in addition to invitational group shows. Unlike many artists who specialize in a narrow range of subjects and composition approaches, Mark's wide breadth of subjects is one of his hallmarks, and his work is known for its convincing realism.

Mark has been involved as a volunteer with The Saint Francis Service Dogs for five years and painted "Unconditional Love" in 2004, using Saint Francis service dog recipient Jim Cunningham and his partner Checkers as models for the painting. The original painting was sold in 2005 and is now in a private collection.
